Striving to be “the hands and feet of Christ” in every way that I am able, and on behalf of the Saint Francis of Assisi Research Library, I am blessed to be able to pray for, partner with, and financially support a few select organizations that I believe are models of ministry to “the least of these” spoken of in Matthew 25:35-40 – those most marginalized in our communities by the social injustices of our modern world. A multifaceted ministry based in Milwaukee, WI, the mission of Franciscan Peacemakers is to support the needs of women survivors of sexual exploitation by engaging in outreach on the street, providing a safe space for women in need of hospitality, giving access to resident-based trauma care at the Clare Community, and offering the opportunity for work while learning skills in manufacturing, packaging, marketing, sales and administration.
